A number of new weapons that will be included in the Genshin Impact Version 4.0 update were leaked by HoYoverse. By completing quests, opening up new domains, and improving their standing in the area, Genshin Impact players can obtain most of the new weapons in Fontaine.
Finally, in Genshin Impact Version 4.0, players will be able to explore Fontaine after seeing multiple teases throughout the Sumeru storyline. The vast new region of Fontaine features deep underwater caverns and channels, and the elaborate city is modeled after European architecture and culture. The Traveler may swim underwater for the first time in order to explore new places and finish tasks. In addition, players will be able to summon new characters, finish off new bounties, and get new weapons and ascension materials.
It has been confirmed by HoYoverse in a recent HoYoLab blog post that Genshin Impact Version 4.0 will feature 12 new weapons starting next week. The First Great Magic, a five-star bow that grants Gimmick stacks and increases Charged Attack damage, is one of these new weapons. Since gimmick stacks boost movement speed and total attack damage, The First Great Magic bow is expected to be one of the most sought-after weapons in the update. The new four-star Fleuve Cendre Ferryman sword, which significantly accelerates energy recharge rates and raises the critical hit rate for Elemental Skills, will also be included in version 4.0. Once Version 4.0 goes live, players can obtain the First Great Magic through the Epitome Invocation event wish. In Genshin Impact, new four-star weapons can be acquired by blacksmithing or opening Battle Pass Bounty chests. The new Battle Pass will be available to players who achieve Adventure Rank 20 or higher, but in order to access BP Bounty chests, players must purchase Gnostic Hymn or Gnostic Chorus packages using real money. Additionally, only Fontaine Fishing Association members are able to obtain the Fleuve Cendre Ferryman sword, so players may need to advance a quest and catch uncommon fish in order to get it.
Fans of Genshin Impact will find plenty of weapons in Fontaine to unlock. Numerous weapons in the region require Fontaine's exclusive ascension materials, so the new domains in the area should be helpful in raising these weapons to level 90. New Genshin Impact events will probably also later on add more weapons and ways to obtain ascension materials. Certain items might also be necessary for new characters that show up in the 4.1 update for Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact players have about five days to obtain Primogems and get ready for the new Fontaine character banners since the 4.0 update launches on August 16. In phase 2 of Version 4.0, well-known characters like Zhongli and Tartaglia will also return.
Genshin Impact is currently playable on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS. There is a Nintendo Switch version in development, but there is no set date for release.
