A Job Posting from Rockstar Games May Provide New Information About GTA 6's Setting

A job posting on the Rockstar portal contains some clues regarding the setting of Grand Theft Auto 6. Even though Grand Theft Auto 5 was released nearly ten years ago, Rockstar doesn't seem to be pushing for the release of Grand Theft Auto 6.

Since Grand Theft Auto 5 came out, players have been requesting updates for Grand Theft Auto 6, which is arguably one of the most anticipated games in history. Another factor fueling the excitement for GTA 6 is its success; the game is expected to outperform GTA 5, which is currently the second-highest selling video game ever. Fans don't know much about GTA 6 aside from the regrettable leak that happened in September 2022. But through a job posting, Rockstar might have revealed a fascinating detail about the game that will soon be released.

A position as a Character Assembly Artist is currently open at Rockstar Games' Toronto studio; this seems to be a reference to where GTA 6 is being set. The position requires a strong grasp of "era-specific culture and demographics," in addition to knowledge of street style and fashion. In addition, the candidate must populate the open world, which presumably entails making NPCs and dressing them in accordance with the setting of the game. Grand Theft Auto 6's time jumps and flashbacks have not been officially confirmed, but this job posting may indicate that at least some of the game will not take place in the present day.

Step Two The company will experience a "significant inflection point in fiscal 2025," according to CEO Strauss Zelnick, which could indicate that the game could release between 2024 and 2025. Following Zelnick's remarks, it now appears plausible that GTA 6 could launch during the holidays of 2024, as claimed by a leaker earlier this year. Thus, it's possible that gamers will learn more about GTA 6's setting sooner rather than later.

Grand Theft Auto 6 has allegedly been in development since 2015, according to another recent leak. This information was provided by a former Rockstar worker who, after nearly 13 years, left the company in 2018. It's interesting to note that they also mentioned the Bully 2 title's development, which was quickly canceled.

They are working on Grand Theft Auto 6.
